Hershey Park :: Pennsylvania

From roller coasters to the museum, there is some delicious fun for everyone at Hershey Park! The park opened in Hershey Pennsylvania in 1907 for the employees of the Hershey Chocolate Company, and has expanded to over 110 acres with over sixty rides and attractions available to the public. Included with your admission to Hershey Park is entry into ZooAmerica, an 11-acre zoo featuring creatures from the farthest reaches of the globe including everything from alligators to owls. Also adjacent to the park is Hershey’s Chocolate World where the attractions include a 3D show, Hershey’s Kissworks where you get to be a chocolate factory worker, and Hershey’s Photo Bar Wrapper attraction where you can customize your own chocolate bar wrapper.

Hershey Park Features 11 rollercoasters among its 65 rides divided up among 9 distinctly themed areas. The Tudor Square area features rustic architecture and the park’s only full service restaurant. There is no admission charge for this section of the park. The Rhineland area features Bavarian architecture and wide variety of gift shops and food vendors. The Founder’s circle area was refurbished in 2005 and houses the iconic carrousel at its center along with a photo stand and other rides. The Comet Hollow area is next to Spring Creek and hosts the park’s oldest rollercoaster, the Comet along with the first modern looping rollercoaster on East Coast, the SooperDooperLooper. Music Box Way is the only fully enclosed area of Hershey Park and it houses the Studio H attraction where guests can film their own music video along with bumper cars and other family friendly rides. The largest area of the park is the Pioneer Frontier area. Here you will find four of the park most thrilling rides: Trailblazer, Sidewinder, Storm Runner and Fahrenheit. This area also features its own food court.

The newest area of the park is The Boardwalk at Hershey Park. Opened in 2007, it features a total of eight waterpark attractions and rides. In 2009 the Seaquel opened featuring a lazy river and cabanas. The Midway America area gives the feeling of a classic fair including the food outlets and exciting rides. This area features three rollercoasters and three children’s rides among its many attractions. Be sure to bring your sweet tooth and a comfortable pair of shoes because Hershey Park will delight you and your family with a wide array of attractions and entertainment.
