Wow! Here is one attraction everyone in the world should see, especially we Americans. The National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Florida has got to be the best bang for the buck anywhere! The Museum is packed with learning, excitement and just plain fun. It’s all here and it’s all FREE! Yes that is what I said, free.

Not only is this place truly incredible with the amount of attractions but it won’t even dent your wallet. Located at the Naval Air Station at Pensacola is the National Naval Air Museum. This historic treasury contains more than 150 fully restored and functional aircraft , more than 4000 artifacts, and hands on exhibits representing the Navy, Marines and Coast Guard of The United States of America. The museum is one of the largest of its kind in the world today and boasts enough exhibits to keep anyone entertained from start to finish of this exciting and extremely fantastic experience!

To start out the visit one has a choice of watching The Blue Angels in person as they practice from March through November before taking off to the various air shows that will thrill us and fill us with excitement and wonder. Next take the ultimate flight aboard the motion based ride Top Gun Air Combat Simulator. Then there is the giant 7 story high I-Max theater. Tired yet? Well sit and enjoy a delicious repast at The Cubi Café, which you will find is an exhibit all of its own.

There are so many things to see and do and they are all FREE to see and enjoy alone or with family friends. You can even see the Hubbell Telescope and what it is doing and seeing right now!

The Museum was the dream and brainchild of one man Magruder H. Tuttle. His vision came to fruition when he sold the navy on the idea. Magruder showed how naval aviation pioneered Atlantic and Pacific aircraft crossing, the development of the aircraft carrier and the actual aircraft that made the navy famous in all its combat endeavors.

The National Naval Aviation Museum is open every day from 9:00A.M to 5:00 P.M. except for holidays and as stated prior it is all FREE! For driving directions, Museum activities, show times, field trips, tours and reservations or for scheduling a visit for few or a group, visit: The National Naval Air Museum Pensacola. You and those that go along with you will thank yourselves for such a wise, fun and exciting experience. Did we mention it’s FREE?
