Reserve a Room at The Hoopoe Yurt Hotel in Andalucia, Spain

The Hoopoe Yurt Hotel in Andalucia, Spain combines amazing luxury with the magnificent countryside of southern Spain. Located in three hectares of olive groves and beautiful cork oak forest the hotel grounds give visitors majestic views of the Grazalema Mountains. A stay in one of their yurts (FYI yurts are felt-covered tents traditionally used by nomads in Central Asia) is the perfect way to enjoy all that nature has to offer, without giving up the usual luxuries you want when on vacation. There are plenty of ways to spend your time at the Hoopoe Yurt Hotel. Relax and unwind while you take in the sounds and sights of the nature at your doorstep. Take a nap in a hammock in the shade of a giant cork oak tree. You can even cool off by taking a dip in the hotel’s chlorine-free swimming pool while enjoying the surrounding blue mountains and scenic nature.

The hotel’s yurts are extremely spacious, comfortable and individually decorated. There are five different styles available to choose from, Mongolian, Afghani, Jaipur, Safari & Maimani. The Afghani is a more romantic yurt featuring bent willow poles and a deep red ceiling. The Mongolian yurt is located in a quite secluded clearing and is hand-painted in burnt orange with traditional motifs in green, blue and gold. All of the hotel’s yurts are set up as double rooms with comfortable beds and pieces of traditional Mongolian furniture and exotic textiles. All of the yurts also run on solar power and have overhead as well as bedside lights along with sockets for charging electronics. Each yurt features a private bathroom with hot showers and ecological toilets. Each yurt also has an acre of private meadow with seating area and hammock in the shade of the trees. With over forty species of birds frequenting the gardens the Hoopoe Yurt Hotel is a haven for birdwatchers as well as botanists.

The Hoopoe Yurt Hotel offers Alfresco Dining four nights a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday) providing guests with a three course dinner featuring ingredients both grown at the hotel as well as locally and of course a variety of amazing wines. This amazing experience takes place under the hotel’s pergola and is lit by beautiful Chinese laterns. The hotel also offers a continental breakfast featuring honey from local hives as well as homemade jams and marmalade. Throughout the day you can enjoy sandwiches, paninis and salads and on non dinner nights guests can enjoy hot tapas. There is also a fully stocked bar that is open until 11pm (11:30 pm on dinner nights). Spa services are also offer at the Hoopoe, allowing guests to enjoy a full body massage, reflexology session, or some stimulating yoga. The local area also offer a great deal for visitors to enjoy. Take a ride out into the countryside from one of the neighboring stables, go birdwatching, take a tour of one of the sherry bodegas in Jerez or even visit ancient caves with Paleolithic paintings. A holiday in Andalucia has never been as unique or stimulating as when staying at the Hoopoe Yurt Hotel.
