Discovered by Richard Branson in 1998 during one of his ballooning expeditions, Kasbah Tamadot is a marvelous addition to the Virgin Limited Edition brand of luxurious and unique retreats. This amazing hotel is set at the foothills of the Atlas Mountains and is only an hour drive from Marrakech, Morocco. With a beautiful indoor pool, an amazing outdoor infinity pool and pampering spa, relaxation is definitely on the agenda when visiting Kasbah Tamadot. Activities are abound with all kinds of fun at your fingertips like guided tours and excursions, mule treks, horse treks, mountain biking and much more.

Kasbah Tamadot features twenty four bedrooms and suites including six luxury Berber Tented Suites. All of the rooms are uniquely decorated with traditional Moroccan furniture and antiques, they also feature items from the vast collection of Luciano Tempo, Kasbah Tamadot’s previous owner who was a renowned antiques dealer and interior designer. There are several types of suites at Kasbah Tamadot and all include either a terrace or balcony, the three-bedroom Master Suites at the far end of the infinity pool also comes with its own amazing private swimming pool. Each of the six Berber Tented Suites come with their own private deck and plunge pool and give you amazing views of the Atlas Mountains. Five of the suites are located past the herb and vegetable gardens beyond the Master Suite. The other suite can been seen as you arrivate at Kasbah Tamador and it offers guests stunning sunset views over the valley.

Dining at Kasbah Tamador is also an amazing experience. At the Kanoun Restaurant you can enjoy delicious local and international cuisine while you enjoy the intimate fireside bar and breathtaking terrace views. The amazing menu combines local and international flavors with home grown herbs and vegetables from the hotel gardens to create some of the most delectable dishes you can imagine. You can also dine al fresco by the candle lit reflecting pool, up on the rooftop terrace underneath the stars or somewhere private just for two.

As part of Virgin Limited Edition’s commitment to the community, Kasbah Tamadot actively approached local community leaders to offer villagers the opportunity to work at the resort. Although most had never worked in a hotel below, Kasbah Tamadt gladly provided training in all aspects of hotel operations as well as English. The resort is also dedicated to the care of the environment with its commitment to sustainable development of the local tourist industry as well as identifying new methods for waste disposal, recycling, energy saving and other environmental initiatives.
