Reserve a Room at Montaña Magica Lodge

Located on a huge and privately owned natural reserve called Huilo Huilo in Chile, is The Magic Mountain Hotel or Montaña Magica Lodge.  The Magic Mountain Hotel is one of the only true four-star hotels that you will find in Chile – and it is truly unlike any others as well.  The architecture alone is sure to astound you with its unique beauty and location.

This hotel was made to look just like a volcano on the outside and has a waterfall which spews from out of the top and cascades down its windows and rocky walls.  Wood and stone spiraled staircases as well as wooden walls and furniture are just some of the natural decorations you’ll see in and around the hotel.  Hot Tubs made out of tree trunks are located in the forest; they are one of the biggest natural attractions here at Magic Mountain. These hot tubs sit upon a platform that overlooks the forest where you can take in the natural world around you and its creatures.

The hotel rooms themselves have windows which overlook Chile’s forest and the wildlife; toucans, lizards, iguanas, eagles, condors, and pumas are just some of the animals frequenting the area.  From the hotel you can also gaze upon one of Chile’s natural marvels – the breathtaking and enormous Arenal Volcano.

One of Chile’s best restaurants is located within Magic Mountain Hotel.  The Forest Table Restaurant offers you homemade Chilean cuisines made from some of the finest Chilean ingredients which you can also wash down with some premium Chilean wines.   One of the recommended Chilean dishes is the Pastel de Papas which is a combination of mashed potatoes, onions, olives, egg, and meat baked together to make very tasty dish.  Fine Chilean wines are also available to order as well.  A bar opens later on towards sun-set where you can order a Chilean Pisco Sour; a custom Chilean drink made of a grape liqueur, lemon juice, and sugar.

The All of the rooms are available with large private bathrooms and the rooms also have large windows that overlook Chile’s majestic rainforest and its wildlife so you have a constant reminder of your peaceful surroundings.  The walls and the furniture of the rooms are made of rough-cut wood, allowing the natural setting to live inside and out of Magic Mountain Hotel.  For larger groups of people (approximately 4-6 people), there are also cabins available on the premises.  You can experience this fairytale of a hotel for around $250 to $400 per night which is a great price for such a unique and unforgettable stay.
