Reserve a Room at Txai Resort

Picture the endless beaches of Bahia. Frame them within 100 hectares of coconut groves and rare preserved Atlantic rain forest. Then add a little luxury and artistic flair and you get Txai.  Txai is one of the most stylish resorts in Brazil. Located on the undeveloped coast, 400 km south of Salvador and an hour’s drive from Ilheus, it has 40 rooms and individual thatched bungalows. Its lavish deep-blue pool is steps from the beach and the hill top spa is a journey into relaxation.

The bungalows at Txai are built individually on stilts and surrounded by wooden decks with details in palm-thatch.  They have been spread around the coconut groves to ensure maximum privacy for visiting guests.  When you wake up, you simply have to sit up in bed to view nature and the sea through the picture windows.  The interiors of the bungalows mix the rustic simplicity of Bahia with maximum comfort.  Decorated in earth tones, they are furnished with a king-size bed with mosquito nets, a desk, sofas, mini-bar, safe, air conditioning, outdoor shower and open-air bed for massage and relaxing.  Some bungalows also come with an outdoor whirlpool bath and exclusive pools.  Txai also offers suites facing the sea, with the same comfort and style of the bungalows.

There are six swimming pools at Txai, all with bar service, freshwater showers, towels, robes and other pool and beachside services.  You also have access to all kinds of eco-tours, rafting, hiking, tennis, biking and other great activities.  The South Restaurant, designed using traditional Bahian architecture, is located on a natural rise surrounded by coconut and dende palms with an amazing view of the sea.  The North Restaurant is located just a few meters from the beach.  The restaurants are a perfect place to savor delicacies such as Brazilian cuscuz, “moqueca” – fish stewed with coconut milk, crab dishes, the Bahian shrimp dish “Bobo de Camarao,” and other delicacies of Bahia and International cuisine.  Txai also houses 4 bars, once in each living room, one at the south pool and one at the north pool.  The bars serve tropical fruit drinks, cocktails, juices, wines, beer and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.  They also offer appetizers and sandwiches.  To learn more or make reservations click here.

The Txai resort also participates in reforestation projects.  You can learn more about their efforts here.
