Starting in the fall of 2012 and continuing through 2013, the happiest place on earth is about to get a lot happier! Walt Disney World is planning a whole new series of magical things through its expansion of Fantasyland Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida. The plans include almost doubling the size of the current attractions and adding new enchanting realms for all to enjoy. The Disney Imagineers are already hard at work turning some of those old classics into new adventures. Get ready to experience all of the beloved Disney stories come to life with more character interaction than ever before.
Gadgets and Gizmos a plenty, who’s-its and what’s-its galore! You want thing-a-ma-bobs? Ariel and her friends with be your guides on the dazzling “Under the Sea: Journey of The Little Mermaid,” as you ride through their underwater world of wonder and sing along to all your favorites.
The Beauty isn’t too far away. Set serenely on a hilltop, the entrance to Beast’s Castle is over a stone bridge where Be Our Guest Restaurant will dazzle your taste buds, whether you are in the mood for a quick bite to eat or if you prefer a full service dining experience. After your meal in Fantasyland Magic Kingdom, yonder into Belle’s Village and explore great shoppes with charm like Gaston’s Tavern and Bonjour! Village Gifts.
Just past Belle’s Cottage, through a magical mirrored doorway awaits The Enchanted Tales with Belle attraction. Relive the Beauty and Beast story to the detail with Belle, Lumiere and Maurice as your personal storyteller’s.
Dumbo and the gang are back too in the all new Storybook Circus. Join the fun and become part of the show under the Big Top or just enjoy the carousel on soon-to-be twice the size Dumbo the Flying Elephant. Or maybe be a daredevil and fly high with Goofy as The Great Goofini as you twist and turn above the circus action.
Whistle while you work on The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. The tale of Snow White is told in a delightful and fresh way as you whisk along the state of the art ride system with an impressive range of motion and all the whimsical elements you’d expect from Disney.
Every princess has her castle – Cinderella, Rapunzel, Aurora and other fairytale royalty will take their places in the all new Princess Fairytale Hall. This replaces the old Snow White’s Scary Adventures attraction.
